The cover for Starfall: Book Three in the Chronicles of Fid is still a work in progress, but this is what I have so far.
Alternate cover idea for Fid's Crusade
I drew this one myself. It isn’t terrible, I think…but I definitely prefer the final red cover by Hampton Lemoureaux from TS95 studios.
Huh. A square image with a ‘read by <narrator>’ tag? That looks like an audiobook cover!
Why yes, yes it does.
Coming soon, I hope. :)
Early concept drawing of Doctor Fid
This one was a photo manipulation from an image I found online; it was a picture of War Machine, I think. This was drawn solely for my own inspiration
I would have loved to have found the original artist and commissioned him to draw a picture of the Doctor.
Another picture of Fid
This one is more recent…I feel like I’m finally beginning to remember how to draw. :)
First Picture of Colby and Jacqueline
This was taken at the adoption center, when Drew and I first met Colby and Jacqueline. Sleepy kitties.
Colby and Jackie helping me read
I’m not certain, but I’m pretty sure that we were reading Senlin Ascends by Josiah Bancroft. What a great read! Colby and Jackie certainly look to be enthralled.
Jackie helping me write
Here, I was attempting to edit Behind Distant Stars: Book Two in the Chronicles of Fid and make sure that it was ready for release.
Jackie is helping.
Who wears the pants
This is Colby. Those are my pants.
At least we know for sure who wears the pants in our relationship…
Laying down in someone’s lap isn’t lazy enough for SOME kittens. SOME kittens need to lay down in someone’s lap AND to use that person’s t-shirt as a hammock.
Some kittens are just greedy!
Colby has adjusted to his new title of Supervising Editor
Why writing novels takes so long
It’s difficult to type quickly when (at least) one hand is dedicated to cat-wrangling.
Vernal Falls from the Mist Trail in Yosemite
I recently took a long-weekend vacation to drive out to Yosemite National Park. My feet are covered in blisters, but my heart is filled with awed reverence.
Half Dome in Yosemite National Park
The mountains in Yosemite Valley are breathtakingly majestic.
Bridalveil Falls in Yosemite
The Sierra Nevada mountain range received a fair bit of snow last winter, and the spring thaw is feeding impressive waterfalls in Yosemite Valley. The last time I visited Yosemite, Bridalveil Falls wasn’t flowing at all; this time, I could feel the cold mist from a quarter mile away.
Canyon View from the Mist Trail in Yosemite
The Mist Trail was a strenuous hike, but the views were worth ever ache and pain.
